Thor Installation Instructions

The following instructions will guide you through the installation of your Thor washer/dryer. These step-by-step instructions apply to both the standard Thor and SoftLine Large capacity models.

Unpacking

Uncrate your Thor washer/dryer and remove all packing materials.
Check to ensure your Thor was not damaged during shipment. If you notice damage, please phone customer service at (877) 877-0540 for assistance.

Removing Packing Bolts

Your Thor comes with three packing bolts (located on back of machine), to help stabilize the washer drum during transit. These braces must be removed before the machine is operated.

Using a standard screwdriver, remove the large bolt located top-center on the rear of the machine. The round washer held in place by the packing bolt should also be removed. (See Photo) Note; newer SoftLine model washer/dryers may include a metal bar across the top-rear of the machine. This bar is a packing brace and must also be removed before operation.).
Next, remove the two remaining bolts located on the middle-left and middle-right side on the back of the machine. (See Photo).

Attaching Hoses

Your Thor Washer/Dryer comes with two connection hoses (for hot and cold water). Hoses are stored in the washer drum during shipping.

Water connections are located on the top-right corner, on the back of the machine.
Thor's standard machine comes with pressure reducers that should be attached before hoses are installed. If you purchased a SoftLine machine, you will not need to install these pressure reducers.
Input hoses should be attached only after pressure reducers are installed on the hot and cold water valve (see photo). Be sure that the bent or "elbow" end is attached to the reducers and not attached to the water source.
